The BBARS of Excellence framework provides a foundational understanding of human behavior that supports the learning of both the students and the adults who guide their experiences. It is a systemic approach that integrates often fragmented initiatives into one framework that creates common understandings, common language and common approaches that can be customized to individual educator and school needs and styles.
As Dr. Dan Siegel says, “When we can name it, we can tame it.” The BBARS of Excellence framework is divided into 5 competency areas that normalize and depersonalize challenge areas in a way that opens the door to constructive, growth producing conversations that traditionally have worn divides across the leadership hierarchy in schools.
